    A.L.L. Spirit Bay launches with a program of stories and discoveries by prominent Canadian Authors, Artists and Activists on Saturday January 26 at the Spirit Bay Visitor Centre. TELLING STORIES: Tales, Text and Testimonies is the first literary event with leading national, provincial and local talent, offered at the newly emerging village of Spirit Bay, Vancouver Island with story tellers: ANTANAS SILEIKA, PAUL BUDRA, SHEEBA SAWYER, KRIS OBRIGEWITSCH

    Date: Saturday, January 26, 2019,
    Time: 11:00 AM-2:30 PM, doors open at 10:30

    ANTANAS SILEIKA Author, humorist, educator, historian, Antanas Sileika reads from selections of his much-loved books including Buying on Time and The Barefoot Bingo Player.

    PAUL BUDRA How Shakespeare Became Shakespeare. Insights from selected readings of William Shakespeare’s Plays by the Simon Fraser University Shakespearean scholar.

    SHEEBA SAWYER History, Place and Plans. Stories, information and anecdotes from a Sc’ianew First Nation woman and young mother, making a place for her herself, her family and community.

    KRIS OBRIGEWITSCH Spirit Bay, All About, Walk About. Where we came from and where we are going. The Trust for Sustainable Development and Sc’ianew First Nation community development.

    Proposal for Live/Work Homes A.L.L. Spirit Bay proposes to build more affordable live/work space to respond to the displacement of urban cultural producers while also helping to enhance the vitality and diversity of the evolving Spirit Bay Village. Homes for professionals in the creative community are imagined with open floorplans for flexible use as is, or self-customized as required. ALL planned to make uniquely healthy working and living environments for individuals, families with children, start-ups and co-sharing.
